Have you ever been to a ribbon cutting ceremony? Or a grand opening ceremony of any sort? I know that I haven't! Maybe this is why I am so exited to attend the ribbon cutting of Izzy's Corner on the morning of March 2nd! Actually, maybe I am excited because of the actual reason of WHY the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County is holding the ribbon cutting event: Isabel J, the founder of The Candy Palace Program, is introducing Izzy's Corner to the Orange County Community! This means that children will, for the first time in history, be able to volunteer at the food bank just like adults!

Izzy's Corner is no ordinary food-packing area in the food bank. Created by author/illustrator/designer/producer, and creativity expert J.H. Everett, Izzy's Corner is a sanctuary for children that provides a safe place that they can lean about philanthropy and elp other children in their local community.

Would you like to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony? Please join us for food bank tours, refreshments, face painting, and more! Located at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Event begins at 11am on March 2nd, 2013. RSVP to SpecialEvents@FeedOC.org
